HATTIESBURG -- UAPB goalkeeper Alyssa Cobbs had another busy day on the pitch, piling up 15 saves. But, she was again under constant attack by Southern Miss and when the smoke clear, eight shots got by the determined keeper and the Lady Lions went down to defeat 8-0 on Friday. The loss dropped UAPB to 0-4.

Once again, the Lady Lions had no luck on the offensive end as they were outshot 42-0 by the Lady Eagles. Of the 42 shots for So. Miss., 23 were on-goal.

Seven different players scored for USM. Danica Roberts posted a pair of goals, while Anya Koren had two assists.

The Lady Lions have a little time to regroup before traveling to Monroe, La. to face Louisiana-Monroe on Friday, Sept. 6.
