PINE BLUFF -- A late goal in the final 10 minutes of regulation helped the Lady Lions earn a tie against Alabama A&M on Friday afternoon. With the tie, UAPB improved to 2-11-2, while Alabama A&M remained winless at 0-13-3.

The Lady Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Estelle Eperance in the 17th minute. But, as a light drizzle started to fall in the second half, the Lady Lions evened the score. Traebiyana Dimanche did the honors, knifing a shot got inside the left post in the 84th minute.

Neither team could score in the two overtime periods and the game ended in a deadlock. Alyssa Cobbs finished with 10 saves for UAPB, while A&M keeper Marissa Oehler had eight.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on the pitch Sunday afternoon, taking on Alabama State. Game time is at 1 p.m.
