Rohan Naraine and his Lady Lions finally turned the corner and notched the first victory of the season today against the University of the Ozarks 3-0.
The Lady Lions jumped out early against the Lady Eagles, when
Celeste Carrera reached the net in the 2
nd minute of the contest. The Lady Lions never let up as they outshot the Lady Eagles 18-10, with 11 shots on goals.
In the second half, the Lady Lions reached the net two more times as Carrera scored in the 45
th and 72
nd minute on a goal by
Kelsey Every. When asked about how he felt on his team's victory Coach Naraine said,”It feels good to get the first win. It shows how hard we've been working.”
Next up for the Lady Lions is a Sunday romp against UALR in Little Rock the game is set for a five o'clock kickoff on September 9th.
