Box Score Nashville, TN- In true fashion, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions came out full steam ahead as they took to the field against the Tigers of Tennessee State.
The Golden Lions got on the scoreboard first with a 29 yard field goal, off of the foot of
Tyler Strickland, at the 11:28 mark of the first quarter. And just as soon the Golden Lion offense got their next possession; Ben Anderson hit
Ladarius Eckwood on 55 yard pass for the second score of the ballgame that capped an eight play, 69 yard drive at the 6:03 minute mark of the first quarter.
TSU would virtually own the second quarter to go into the half up by two after scoring twelve unanswered points.
UAPB's only other score of the game came on another Strickland field goal, this time from 30 yards out. TSU would then go on to score there more touchdowns in route to a 40-13 final.

Ladarius Eckwood led all receivers with 117 yards on five catches for the day. Defensively,
Bill Ross led all tacklers on the day with 14 stops, nine solo and five assisted.
The Golden Lions will have to regroup and prepare for SWAC foe Jackson State next week at home in Golden Lions Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 PM.
