North Little Rock, AR - The Lady Lions lost to the University of Arkansas Little Rock Trojans 2-0 on Friday night.  The Trojans scored a pair of goals just four minutes apart in the second half. The Lady Lions showed a lot of resilience and fight on the field despite having seven players out of the lineup.

"It was a very good game for our team tonight," said head coach Roberto Mazza. "UALR is a good team and we did a great job staying organized. I feel the penalty kick for their first goal opened things up for their second goal."

The Trojans scored their first goal 56^th minute on a penalty kick and four minutes later they made it 2-0 on a shot to the top left corner.

"I felt that this was a much better game than the last one we played and we are starting to feel more confident on the field," said senior defender Erika Forbes. "We do not make excuses that we do not have a full line up; we just get on the field and play hard."

Olivia Wood made 8 saves on the game tonight. “Olivia played well tonight,” said Mazza. “This was Wood's first game back and she showed a lot of confidence in goal. I also felt that Nicole Parks-Powell send a valuable message to the team tonight in the way she battled.”

The Lady Lions will face Arkansas State this Sunday at Jonesboro at 4:00p.m.
