ALEXANDRIA, La.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions soccer team defeated Mississippi Valley State 3-0 in the 2011 SWAC Tournament Championship on Sunday.

UAPB's Nicole Parks-Powell broke open a tight game scoring a goal early in the second half giving the Lady Lions a 1-0 lead that they would not relinquish.

"This is an unbelievable feeling," said UAPB head coach Roberto Mazza. "Our team has put in a lot of hard work all season and this is an amazing way for us to end conference play going into the NCAA Tournament."
