JACKSON, Miss.-Jackson State scored 34 unanswered second-half points to beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 48-10 on Saturday night.
Jackson State (5-1, 3-1 SWAC) entered halftime with a 14-10 lead, courtesy of two touchdown passes from Casey Therriault, who opened the scoring with a 77-yard TD catch to Rico Richardson and then connected with Richardson again from 45 yards out.
Adrian Moore led the way for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (3-3, 2-2 SWAC) with 163 all-purpose yards, but UAPB struggled on third downs, converting only 5 of 17 attempts. Linebacker Bill Ross led all UAPB tacklers tallying 11 stops.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will look to rebound at home this weekend as they get set to host the Southern Jaguars. Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 15
th at 6:00 pm at Golden Lions Stadium.
