University of Arkansas Pine Bluff Lady Lions continues to dominate as they beat Prairie View A&M Panthers 3-0 Friday night. The Lady Lions have not lost a game in ten consecutive matches. They also tied their single season record with seven straight wins.
In the first half it was all Lady Lions as
Silvia Fuentes scored her SWAC-leading 10th goal of the season in the 5th minute from 20 yards out.
Rachel Harker got her name on the score sheet in the 16th minute, as she headed the ball in from a corner kick taken by Lindsey Roberts. "
In the second half
Rachel Harker extended the lead with her second goal of the game on an assist by
Silvia Fuentes. With that assist,
Silvia Fuentes has tied her single season record and Lady Lion's record with 18 on the season. She also leads the country with total assists.
Defensively the Lady Lions were excellent without giving the Panthers anything inside the 18 yard box. “I am very proud of the way we are keeping our back four stapled together and not giving away any big chances .” said

Freshmen Keeper Meaghan Storie recorded her 4
th shutout in six games and made a career high 6 saves. She was also awarded player of the match.
“I thought we played well tonight.” said Head Coach Roberto Mazza. “I thought PV was a hard working team and we had to step up to a higher level tonight. It was a good test for our team and I am proud of the way we finished the game tonight.”
Lady Lions are now 10-4-1 in the season and 6-0 in SWAC play. They will face Texas Southern on Sunday at 1:00pm in Texas.
