MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Devin Dominguez passed for five touchdowns Saturday night and Alabama State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 38-31.
Dominguez completed 13 of 28 passes for 152 yards and threw touchdowns to five different receivers for Alabama State (2-0, 2-0 SWAC). His last touchdown pass, a 4-yarder to Nick Andrews, gave the Hornets the lead with 5:46 left.
Josh Boudreaux rushed for 113 yards on nine carries and completed 19 of 34 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-2, 0-1 SWAC). Adrian Moore caught one of the touchdown passes and ran for another score.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will enter a bye week before returning to the field on Saturday, September 25th to participate in the St. Louis Gateway Classic. Kickoff time has been set for 3:00 pm at the Edward Jones Dome.
