PINE BLUFF, Ark.-The accolades continue to roll in for University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff wide receiver Raymond Webber. Webber concluded one of the most successful seasons in history with numbers that set new records in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and at UAPB.
At this time Webber has been selected to a total of three All-American Teams including the American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp, and Associated Press (AP) making him a consensus selection.
Webber finished the season for Arkansas-Pine Bluff leading the nation in receptions (101) and yards receiving 1,429 averaging 129.9 yards per contest. His 101 catches is only the third time in SWAC football history a receiver has caught more than 100 receptions.
He joined Jerry Rice, who accomplished that feat twice during his collegiate career (103 in 1984, and 102 in 1983). Webber was named the SWAC Player of the Week a total of three times this season in addition to be selected as the BoxToRow.com National Player of the Week. His 243 receiving yards versus Grambling State rank as the third most receiving yards in a game during this season (NCAA FCS).
