PINE BLUFF, Ark.- With the field of 64 teams officially set the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions soccer team (12-6-4) has been scheduled to play Louisiana State University (14-4-4) in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Women's Soccer Championships.
This will be UAPB's first tournament appearance in school history. The program earned an automatic bid to participate in the NCAA Tournament after capturing a 1-0 win over Prairie View A&M on Sunday, at the 2009 SWAC Tournament Finals.
LSU, who finished as the runner-up in the Southeastern Conference regular season and tournament, will play host to the first two rounds of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament for the first time in school history.
The Lady Lions match versus LSU is set for Friday, Nov. 13. The game, which will be played at the LSU Soccer Complex is slated to begin at 7 pm.
