UAPB Football 26 signees during the National Signing Day Celebration held at the STEM Building on campus.
PINE BLUFF, AR. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football program officially welcomed its newest class of Golden Lions on Wednesday night, revealing 26 signees during the National Signing Day Celebration held at the STEM Building on campus.
UAPB signed 20 midyear student-athletes, including nine on the defensive side of the ball and 11 on offense. The Golden Lions also added six spring signees, all of whom are from the state of Arkansas or have strong ties to the Natural State, reinforcing the program's commitment to recruiting locally and building regional pride.
Family members, fans, campus leadership, and supporters gathered to celebrate the next wave of student-athletes who will carry on the proud tradition of UAPB Football. Head coach Alonzo Hampton and his staff highlighted a class built on speed, toughness, versatility, and character—addressing key needs across multiple position groups while adding depth and competition throughout the roster.
The 2026 signing class features a blend of midyear enrollees and high school prospects from across the region, each bringing a strong combination of on-field production and academic potential. Coaches emphasized that the group reflects the program's continued focus on recruiting student-athletes who align with the culture of accountability, discipline, and development both on and off the field.
"This is one of the best recruiting classes we've signed since I've been here," said head football coach Alonzo Hampton. "We're excited about this group because we were able to address several key areas of need. These young men are competitors who love the game and understand the standard we expect in our program. We're excited about the talent they bring, but even more excited about the type of men they are and the way they'll represent this university."
