#UAPBAthletics: Champions in the Classroom: UAPB Golden Lions Athletics Records Term 3.34 GPA in Fall 2025

Over the last five and a half years, 17 UAPB student-athletes have earned the prestigious Chancellor's Medallion

PINE BLUFF, AR.- As winter temperatures dropped across the region, the academic momentum inside the classroom remained red hot for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Athletics Department.

UAPB Athletics recorded an outstanding academic performance during the Fall 2025 term, posting a department-wide GPA of 3.34 and continuing its upward trajectory of academic excellence across all sports.

"These results reflect the culture of excellence we expect across UAPB Athletics," said Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Chris Robinson. "Our student-athletes continue to prove that success in competition goes hand in hand with success in the classroom. I'm extremely proud of their dedication, as well as the commitment shown by our coaches, academic support staff, and campus partners in supporting their growth."

Every UAPB team finished the term with a GPA above a 3.00, underscoring the department's commitment to academic accountability and student success. On the men's side, Men's Golf led all programs with a department-best GPA of 3.86, setting the academic standard across athletics. On the women's side, Women's Soccer recorded the highest GPA at 3.70, leading all women's programs and reinforcing its excellence in the classroom.

Men's Team GPAs – Fall 2025
Men's Golf (3.86), Baseball (3.58), Men's Track & Field – Indoor (3.51), Men's Track & Field – Outdoor (3.51), Men's Cross Country (3.30), Football (3.10), and Men's Basketball (3.04).

Women's Team GPAs – Fall 2025 
Women's Soccer (3.70), Women's Golf (3.64), Softball (3.55), Women's Track & Field – Indoor (3.46), Women's Track & Field – Outdoor (3.46), Women's Volleyball (3.43), Women's Cross Country (3.22), and Women's Basketball (3.12).

Beyond team performance, UAPB Athletics recognized 217 student-athletes for individual academic achievement through its academic honors structure:

  • Athletic Director's List (3.00–3.24): 27 student-athletes
  • Honor Roll (3.25–3.49): 42 student-athletes
  • Dean's List (3.50–3.99): 84 student-athletes
  • Chancellor's List (4.00): 64 student-athletes

In addition to term-based honors, UAPB Athletics has demonstrated sustained academic excellence at the highest level. Over the last five and a half years, 17 UAPB student-athletes have earned the prestigious Chancellor's Medallion, one of the University's highest academic distinctions, further highlighting the department's long-term commitment to elite academic performance.

Associate AD for Academics Shon Pilcher echoed that sentiment, the number of student-athletes earning academic honors this past semester reflects a department-wide commitment to excellence. We are proud of the discipline and effort required to perform at this level across multiple programs.
