PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Women's Basketball team has officially announced its 2025–26 schedule.
Head Coach Erica Leak, entering her second season at the helm of the Lady Lions program, is eager to build upon last year's momentum and take the team to new heights. "I couldn't be more excited about the upcoming season. Our staff and players have put in tremendous work preparing, and the energy within our program is at an all-time high. This group has shown a commitment to growth, toughness, and playing for each other, and I believe that will translate onto the court. We're looking forward to competing, representing our university with pride, and giving our fans a team they can be excited about. The journey ahead will challenge us, but we welcome that challenge and are ready to make this a special season."
The Lady Lions will open the year with an exhibition appearance at the Central Arkansas Tip-Off Classic on October 17against Little Rock before embarking on a competitive nonconference slate that includes road contests at Memphis on November 3 and at Arkansas on November 7. UAPB will host Sam Houston on November 12 and ULM on November 16 before traveling to Louisiana Tech on November 18 and South Dakota on November 25. The Lady Lions continue their road stretch at North Alabama on December 1 before returning home to face Arkansas Baptist on December 4. They will then travel to TCU on December 16 and Tulsa on December 18 before closing nonconference play at home on December 21 against Virgin Islands.
Conference action begins on January 1 when the Lady Lions host Alabama State, followed by another home matchup with Alabama A&M on January 3. They then hit the road for contests at Prairie View on January 8 and at Texas Southern on January 10. They return to H.O. Clemmons Arena to host Bethune-Cookman on January 15 and Florida A&M on January 17 before traveling to Grambling on January 22 and Southern on January 24. The team closes out January with a trip to Mississippi Valley State on January 31.
February opens with a key home stand as the Lady Lions welcome Jackson State on February 5 and Alcorn State on February 7. They then travel to Alabama A&M on February 12 and Alabama State on February 14 before returning home for games against Texas Southern on February 19 and Prairie View on February 21. The team's final home contest of the regular season comes on February 28 against Mississippi Valley State. The Lady Lions will close out the regular season with a road trip to Jackson State on March 3 and Alcorn State on March 5.
After the game on March 5, the Lady Lions and the rest of the conference turn their attention to the postseason: the SWAC Tournament will begin on March 9 in Atlanta, Georgia, with all 12 teams set to compete in the tournament.
With a mix of marquee nonconference contests and pivotal SWAC matchups at H.O. Clemmons Arena, Coach Leak's Lady Lions are poised to deliver an exciting season for UAPB fans. The team's blend of experience, toughness, and determination aims to make 2025–26 one of the most memorable campaigns in program history.
