Golden Lions One Win Away from SWAC Championship, Face Alabama State in Semifinals

ATLANTA, GA.- The Arkansas–Pine Bluff Golden Lions women's basketball will face the Alabama State Hornets women's basketball on Friday, March 13, in the semifinals of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament at Gateway Center Arena in the Atlanta area.

The game will be televised on ESPN+, with tip-off set for 4:30 p.m. CT. The winner will advance to the SWAC Women's Basketball Championship game.

The Golden Lions enter the semifinal matchup following a 64–60 victory over No. 2 seed Alcorn State Braves women's basketball. Jailah Pelly led UAPB with 19 points, while Khaniah Gardner recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Indiya Bowen, the SWAC Newcomer of the Year, added 14 points in the win.
