PINE BLUFF, AR --The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball team got a 22-point showing from the bench on the way to a 69-68 victory over the Texas Southern Tigers at home Tuesday.

The Golden Lions had four players score in double figures, led by Doctor Bradley, who put together a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Christian Moore tacked on 13 points and six assists and Kyle Brown chipped in as well with 11 points and seven rebounds off of the bench.

UAPB utilized great ball movement in Tuesday's game, piling up 22 assists on 26 made field goals. Bradley's seven assists paced the Golden Lions.

UAPB's defense held Texas Southern to only 33.3 percent shooting from the field. The Golden Lions also limited Zaire Hayes to 3-of-14 shooting in the game.

How It Happened

After falling behind 2-0, UAPB went on an 8-0 run with 18:37 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Moore, to take an 8-2 lead. The Golden Lions then maintained that lead and entered halftime with a 33-27 advantage. UAPB did most of its first half damage in the paint, scoring 20 of its 33 points close to the basket.

Texas Southern proceeded to take a 64-59 lead before UAPB went on a 6-0 run to seize a 65-64 lead with 4:02 to go in the contest. The Golden Lions held onto that lead for the rest of the game for the 69-68 win. UAPB took care of business in the paint, recording 22 of its 36 points in the lane.
