PINE BLUFF, Arkansas --Danarius Hilliard totaled 15 tackles in University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions 31-28 loss to Florida A&M at home Saturday afternoon at Simmons Bank Field.
Christian Peters led UAPB's passing attack with 333 yards through the air, tossing three touchdowns without throwing an interception.
Jaylen Jennings totaled 60 yards to lead the Golden Lions' ground attack in the game, picking up 4.3 yards per carry along the way. Jennings also tacked on 43 receiving yards and one touchdown. Peters also tacked on 34 yards on the ground.
D'Avery Robinson hauled in six catches for 95 yards and one score. Kareem Burke made his presence felt in the passing game, recording five receptions for 79 yards. The Golden Lions also added 63 yards receiving and one touchdown from Ellis Stewart in the game.
Hilliard led the Golden Lions defensively with his 15 tackles, seven of them solo, and 1.0 TFL, and one sack. Kaylon Dupree added one interception and Dj Stevenson tacked on .
The Golden Lions won the turnover battle in Saturday's game, forcing one turnover while avoiding any giveways. The UAPB offense did a good job keeping drives alive, converting on 64.3 percent of third-down attempts.
