PRAIRIE VIEW, TX. -- The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions fell 56-9 to Prairie View A&M on the road Saturday afternoon.
Jaylen Jennings paced the Golden Lions rushing attack by accumulating 114 yards and one touchdown over the course of the game, averaging 5.7 yards per carry. Dae'trell Cooper also added 28 yards on the ground.
Jordan Jackson hauled in two catches for 37 yards.
Team led the UAPB defensive effort, collecting . Vaughn Highland added five tackles and 0.5 TFL and Michael Henderson had five tackles in the loss.
How It Happened
UAPB responded to an early 21-0 Prairie View A&M lead with a second quarter field goal to narrow the deficit to 21-3.The Golden Lions responded with a touchdown after Prairie View A&M increased its lead to 28-3 to make it a 28-9 game. UAPB didn't score again in the game and Prairie View A&M tacked on 28 more points to finish off the scoring.
