HOUSTON, Texas — The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football team fell 51-7 to Texas Southern on the road Saturday night.

The Tigers improved to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play, while the Golden Lions dropped to 2-3 on the season and 1-1 in league action.

Offensively, running back Bryant Sanchez led UAPB with 73 rushing yards on just 11 carries, averaging an impressive 6.6 yards per attempt. Jaylen Jennings added 47 yards on the ground, moving the chains consistently with a 4.3-yard average.

In the passing game, D'Avery Robinson paced the receiving corps with four receptions for 35 yards.

Defensively, Elijah Jenkins made a key play with an interception, while Derron Moore anchored the defense, finishing with a team-high eight tackles.
