#UAPBMENSHOOPS: Bradley Scores 23 Points in Golden Lions Loss to Bethune-Cookman

DAYTONA BEACH, FL --Doctor Bradley scored 23 points, but the UAPB men's basketball team fell to the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 73-64 on the road Monday.

The Golden Lions had two players score in double figures, led by Bradley, who had 23 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks. Klemen Vuga added 12 points and Zach Reinhart added six points and four assists.

UAPB's defense held Bethune-Cookman to only 37.1 percent shooting from the field, including 22.2 percent from beyond the arc.

How It Happened

After falling behind 25-15, UAPB went on a 7-0 run with 4:49 left in the first half to narrow its deficit to 25-22. The Golden Lions deficit remained the same as they entered halftime trailing 27-24.

After intermission, UAPB kept the Wildcats from increasing their lead before going on a 7-0 run, finished off by Vuga's layup, to seize a 40-36 lead with 13:41 to go in the contest. Bethune-Cookman re-asserted control, outscoring the Golden Lions 37-24 the rest of the way to hand UAPB the 73-64 loss. UAPB took care of business in the paint, recording 26 of its 40 points in the lane.
