Eugene, Oregon- "Ticket Punched"! Despite the big stage that was set last night at Hayward Field, the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff track and field star Caleb Snowden advanced to the finals for the men's high jump event in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

The top 12 high jumpers advanced to the finals, which will take place on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. central time. You can catch live coverage of the event on NBC, Peacock, and USA Network, with live results available here.

Snowden tied for 8th place by clearing 7-2 ¼ (2.19m) among the country's top 25 athletes in the event.

"It feels good competing against the best in the country in the Olympic Trial to represent the USA Team in Paris, said Snowden.  "My training had been going well, and it's an honor to be among the top 12 to compete in Sunday finals".

Snowden made history earlier this year at the NCAA Indoor Championships by becoming the first student-athlete in the program's history to be named an All-American since joining the NCAA.

Additionally, Snowden achieved another milestone as the first high jumper from a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) to secure a top-three position in both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the same year.
