FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff track and field team dominated the day at the John McDonnell Invitational over the weekend.
In the field events, Deandre Fyffe placed fifth in the men's discus with a throw of 51.46 meters, and eighth in the shotput. Danniel Bailey finished fourth in the hammer throw and Franklyn Stanislaus placed sixth in the javelin throw, both for top-10 finishes.
On the women's side, Lyric Love finished the hammer throw in second place with a throw of 48.82 meters and Kaelyn Kimble finished seventh with a throw of 34.38 meters.
Raina Perry came in sixth in the women's 400 meter hurdles, and Jaylynn Hampton came in seventh place in the women's 100 meter hurdles.
In the men's 400 meter run, Mohamed Soumare (6th), Ross Walrond (7th) and Genesis Joseph (9th) finished in the Top-10.
