The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's and women's basketball team continues league play when they travel to Florida for a two-game road trip with stops at Florida A&M today and Bethune-Cookman on Monday, January 16, at 5:30 p.m. ETÂ and 7:30 p.m. ET
The women's game will tip off at 2 p.m.ET, followed by the men's game at 4 p.m. ET.  The game will be broadcast on the FAMU Sports Network, with live stats available here.Â
The Lady Lions are coming off a 60-62 heartbreaker loss to Prairie View A&M last weekend at home after outscoring the Lady Panthers 15-6 in the final minutes of the game.
The Lady Lions had three players score in double figures, led by Maya Peat, who had 14 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Coriah Beck added 14 points and two steals, and Raziya Potter helped with 10 points, eight rebounds, and six assists from the bench.
As a unit, UAPB ranks first in the conference in rebounds, averaging (41.2)Â rpg, first in team offensive rpg. (14.8) and defensive rpg (26.4), second in average block shots (4.62), and third in scoring, averaging (62.1)ppg. Coriah Beck leads the team, averaging (9.7)Â ppg.
The Lady Rattlers are coming into today's matchup on a four-game conference losing streak and a recent 68-71 loss to Grambling St. on the road.
FAMU is led by Dylan Horton, who leads the team averaging (16.6)Â ppg.
On the men's side, the Golden Lions come into today's matchup riding a two-game winning streak defeating Prairie View A&M 63-55, holding the Panthers to 11.8 from behind the arch.Â
The Golden Lions had three players score in double figures, led by Kylen Milton, who had 22 points and five assists. Trejon Ware added 11 points and two steals, and Chris Greene helped out with 10 points, four assists, two steals, and two blocks off the bench.
UAPB ranks second in the conference in team defense, giving up only (68.9) ppg., third in assists, averaging (13.1) apg., fourth in steals, averaging (8.0) SPG., and fourth in team rebounds, averaging (35.8) rpg.
Shaun Doss Jr. continues to show why he's the top player in the conference. Doss leads the conference, averaging (16.2) ppg., followed by Kylen Milton, who ranks second in the conference in assists per game (4.7) and steals per game (1.7). Â
