LORMAN, MISS. -- The UAPB volleyball team fell to the Alcorn State Lady Braves in four sets (23-25, 22-25, 25-15, 16-25) Monday on the road.
Senior Kori Diego finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Lady Lions offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .727. UAPB got nine digs from senior Stavroula Papazoglou to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Lions came up short in a back-and-forth first set, losing 25-23 in a game that featured four lead changes and was tied 13 times. Neither team led by more than three points in the match.
SET 2 | A 25-22 second-set loss put UAPB in a 2-0 hole in the match. Alcorn State grabbed the advantage for good at 9-8 in a set that was knotted up two times before the Lady Braves took over the lead.
SET 3 | UAPB rallied back to pull within two sets to one, winning their first set of the match in the third stanza. The Lady Lions led from the opening point on in the set to secure a 25-15 victory. UAPB opened up as much as a 10 point lead at 13-3 before closing out the set.
SET 4 | UAPB couldn't build off the set-three victory and lost in the fourth set 25-16 to drop the match. The Lady Lions trailed by as many as 12 points as Alcorn State grabbed the advantage for good at 6-5 and UAPB wasn't able to recover in a set that was tied up two times before the Lady Braves took over.
