Head coach Dawn Thornton has led her team to their third straight conference win after starting 0-2 in SWAC play.

"This group continues to work hard, day in and day out," Thornton remarked following the win on Saturday. "We had to fix some things internally to get an understanding of how to be successful in this conference. Everyone knows that we have one goal, and we're going to stay after it."

Before the third period was over, the Lady Lions added one point to that lead and entered the fourth quarter with a 61-33 edge. UAPB knocked down three three-pointers in the quarter to score nine of its 21 total points.
