On the men's side, the Golden Lions had nine top-10 finishes at the Al Schmidt Bulldogs Relay, led by senior Wade Garner, who placed second in the 400m with a time of 47.68.
On the women's side Safiya John, one of the top heptathlon athletes in the country, put up an impressive performance at the Texas Relays. John placed ninth overall in the heptathlon in Austin, TX.
"After our last meet we had a week of hard training to prepare for this weekend's meet and we've been mostly focused on improvement in all events," said UAPB head coach Christopher McCoy.
