Conway, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff softball team dropped both games against Stephen F. Austin (10-0) and Central Arkansas (10-1) Friday evening at the UCA Farris Fields Softball Complex.
GAME 10 SFA UAPB 0
SFA jumped out ahead of UAPB, scoring 10 runs in the first three innings. Offensively UAPB couldn't get the bats going before SFA would clinch game one.
Seniors, Shanice Akins and Anne Gerwitz led UAPB at the plate with one hit apiece.
GAME 2 UCA 10 UAPB 1
UCA got off to a fast start, scoring all 10 runs in the first four innings in game two.
The Lady Lions showed effort scoring one run in the bottom of the fifth inning but it was not enough in the comeback.
Junior Felicia Drake and freshman Paola Rodriguez led the Lady Lions at the plate with one hit apiece.
The Lady Lions will be back in action Saturday against UCA at 10:45 a.m. and Mississippi Valley St. at 4:45 p.m.
