#UAPBSoftball Drops Game One Against Alcorn State

Vicksburg, MS---The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff softball team dropped a heartbreaker in the seventh inning, dropping game one of the series, 3-2 Friday evening at Sport Force Park.

The Lady Braves  raced out to a 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning. Neither team was able to get on the board until the top of the seventh inning, when sophomore Desiree Bumpers doubled to left center scoring two runs to give UAPB their first lead (2-1) of the game.

In the bottom of the seventh Alcorn St. responded by scoring two runs in a come from behind  win game to clinch game one. 

Bumpers led UAPB at the plate going 1-for-3 with two RBIs.  


The Lady Lions will take on Alcorn Saturday at 1 P.M. and 3 P.M. in a doubleheader to wrap up the series.
