The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's basketball team fell short to Miami on Tuesday night by a score of 78-65.
The Lady Lions had four players in double figures, led by Sade Hudson with 13 points. Joyce Kennerson finished with 12 points, and Zaay Green and Tyeisha Juhan both added 10 points apiece.
Khadijah Brown stepped up big for the Lady Lions, defensively, with a game-high 5 blocks.
The Lady Lions traded baskets with Miami throughout the first half but trailed at halftime 43-26.
UAPB got things going offensively, pouring in 21 points in the third quarter alone.Â
Trailing at the end of the third quarter, the Lady Lions kept it close and came as close as 72-60 to Miami in the fourth quarter.
UAPB outscored Miami in the fourth quarter 18-12, but the comeback would fall short.
The Lady Lions end their four game win streak with the loss, but still remain above .500 through the first eight games.
