The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's basketball team fell to Alabama-Birmingham on Wednesday night by a score of 89-64.
The Lady Lions had three players in double figures tonight, led by Zaay Green with 17 points. Joyce Kennerson scored 14 points and Tyeisha Juhan chipped in with 11 points.
UAPB got off to a good start only trailing 19-21 at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Lions traded baskets with UAB throughout the first half, but the Lady Blazers led 44-28 at halftime.
UAPB came as close as 55-47 in the third quarter but UAB ended the quarter on a 13-3 run, giving them the advantage to later win the game.
The Lady Lions return to action in Conway against in-state rival UCA on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
