The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's soccer team clinched their second consecutive shut-out Sunday evening with victory on the road against Mississippi Valley State (5-0) at Rice-Totten Stadium.
The Lady Lions had impressive performances during the first half scoring the first goal of the game by freshman Erin Fite to take a (1-0) lead.
Freshman Jackie Stokes scored the following three goals for the Lady Lions to push their lead to four (4-0).Â
The Delta Devils couldn't find the back of the net before halftime, and the Lady Lions went into halftime with a (4-0) lead.  Â
 In the second half, freshman Natalie Freeman scored on a penalty kick for UAPB advancing their lead (5-0).
UAPB defense held MSVU scoreless to seal their second shutout of the weekend.
"I felt like we controlled the game from start to finish, said UAPB Head Coach Erik Solberg. "We got out and took care of business and defensively gave it all we had."
The Lady Lions wins over MSVU, and Alcorn State clinched the final spot in the SWAC Championship Tournament in Prairie View, TX. Nov. 4-7.
