The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff grabbed their second win of the SWAC Cluster One, sweeping Mississippi Valley State 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-17).
Zykia Jones and Destiny Thomas led the team in kills with seven kills apiece.
Defensively, Haley Gomez had a game-high four blocks to pace UAPB.
Vanessa Collins led the Lady Lions with 15 assists in the match, and Keaundra Sykes added 13 assists to the total.
Zyonn Smith led the team in digs with 14.
The Lady Lions take a week off to regroup before traveling to Texas Southern on Oct. 17 to continue conference play.
