GRAMBLING, La. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's basketball team lost at Grambling, 67-53 Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Lions (2-10, 1-5 SWAC) had three players score in double figures, led by
Jahnay Anderson, who made a season-high 12 points on four made three-pointers.
Kaila Walker added 11 points and seven assists and
Khadijah Brown chipped in as well with 10 points.
The UAPB offense was very productive from downtown, making eight threes on 21 attempts, and tallied 13 assists on 16 made shots.
Trailing 31-12, the Lady Lions stormed out of the locker room after halftime. UAPB scored 25 third-quarter points and cut the 14 and cut the margin to 51-40 on Anderson's fourth three-pointer in the opening minute of the fourth quarter but could get no closer.
