FLORENCE, AL. - Competing for the second time in two days, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's tennis team fell to North Alabama 6-0 and the women's lost 7-0 in Florence, Alabama.
Coming off a tough seasonal opener Saturday against national rank Middle Tennessee, North Alabama got off to a fast start in the women's competition.
On the men's side, senior Darrien Ledbetter won three games in the first match and two games in the second match in the single competition. Junior, Junius Ross won two sets in his first match and one in the second match in the single competition. Sophomore, Thomas Harris, and freshman Isiah Jordan each claimed a game in their single competition.
In the doubles, Ledbetter and Ross paired up to take a game against a tough North Alabama squad, along with Harris and Jordan.
Both men and women will be back on the court for their home opener against Alcorn St. at 3 p.m. at the Bloom Tennis Center.
