Senior Spotlight #UAPBMTennis Le’Darrien Ledbetter

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's tennis team was looking forward to its spring season, and the Golden Lions senior knew it would be his last chance to compete at the collegiate level. Unfortunately, that season never finished after all athletics around the country were canceled.

Le'Darrien Ledbetter, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, served as the lone captain on the 2019-20 Golden Lion men's tennis team.

Over his four-year career playing for the Golden Lions Ledbetter played a significant role in laying the foundation for the men's program on and off the court, even though playing one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the conference. He was named to the SWAC double-second team his freshman and sophomore year.

Ledbetter, who finished the spring semester with a 4.0 GPA, was named to the Dean's List every semester as a student-athlete at UAPB and was named to the 2020 SWAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
