Prairie View, TX. - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff volleyball team wrapped up its final day of SWAC Roundup play Sunday afternoon with a four-set 25-23, 22-25, 25-27, 17-25 to Alcorn St.

"We didn't execute the way we were supposed to," said first-year UAPB head coach Chelsey Lucas. The ladies have to come out and play to the end as we did in day two of the SWAC Roundup, but I want to give credit to Alcorn St., they were the better team today. We will learn from this and get ready for our home match this week."

Sophomore Haley Gomez continues to dominate on the court for the Lady Lions with 14 kills and six blocks, along with freshman Zyaire Garrit with nine kills and one service ace and sophomore Kaila Robinson with seven kills, three serving aces, and 14 digs.

UAPB returns home Thursday when they host Southern at New Orleans at 11 a.m. and Fisk at 3 p.m. in the Roar Classic held at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
