2019 Men’s Tennis Recap

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's tennis team didn't have the season they hoped for but came away with some positives from their 2019 campaign.

The Golden Lions started the year with five consecutive non-conference matches against top opponents, including a historical matchup with an in-state opponent. The Golden Lions squared off with the University of Arkansas Razorbacks early in the season, before qualifying for the conference tournament and losing in the first round.

In conference play, senior Simon Lewis led the team in the single division with two wins.

The Golden Lions returns (junior Le' Darrien Ledbetter, sophomore Junius Ross, and freshman Thomas Harris) that will have a strong impact on a bright future ahead for the Golden Lions.

The Golden Lions also post a strong spring semester, finished with an overall GPA of 2.913.

Men's Tennis finish 9th
