As the excitement continues to grow for the upcoming 2019 University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football season, ticket prices for the upcoming six-game home schedule have been reduced in most areas of Simmons Bank Field.
"Our fans, alumni, and supporters have always and continue to be tremendously impactful to Golden Lion Football and Golden Lion Athletics," UAPB Athletic Director
Melvin Hines said. "As we continue to grow the program into a SWAC contender, it was very important to us to create fan and family-friendly ticket pricing. We want to make Simmons Bank Field the toughest road venue in the conference, and we believe our new ticket prices give us the ability to sellout every game."
Season ticket renewals started on Monday, July 1 and end Monday July 29. New season ticket sales will begin Thursday, August 1. Single game tickets sales will begin Tuesday, August 27. In addition to the new pricing options are new packages for families and as well as all police, fire, EMS, and both active and retired military personnel. Ticket Office Hours are Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
"Our city and our state have endured a lot in 2019," said Hines in reference to the recent tornados and flooding that have affected the state of Arkansas. "Our new family pack includes game tickets and food and drinks for a family of four at a great value to encourage families to be a part of the excitement of Golden Lion Football. Additionally, we can't say enough to thank the first responders who continue to answer the call when assistance is needed. We appreciate them and all of our military personnel for everything they've done and will continue to do in our community."
Pricing options have been simplified to make it easier for fans. For example, there are now only two price options for chairback seats, one price on the west side and one price on the east side.
"We want to continue to make UAPB Football a family affair from the young cub to the roaring Lion," Hines said. "The best value for Golden Lion Nation is in purchasing a season-ticket package, which is more cost effective on average price per game as opposed to purchasing single-game tickets."
The home schedule begins Saturday, Sept. 14 against Langston at 6 p.m. UAPB will then play four consecutive home games starting Sept. 28 vs. Southern at 6 p.m. The 2019 homecoming game is Oct. 5 vs. Lane at 3 p.m., followed by home contests Oct. 12 vs. Miss. Valley State at 1 p.m. and Oct. 26 vs. Grambling at 1 p.m. The final home game is Nov. 23 vs. Texas Southern at 1 p.m., with all home games at Simmons Bank Field.
