Men's Tennis Suffers 7-0 Decision To Abilene Christian

Pine Bluff, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's tennis fell in a non-conference match, losing 7-0 to Abilene Christian at Bloom Tennis Center.

The Golden Lions dropped all two doubles matches with both contests being a 6-1 loss at No. 1 with duo (Le'Darrien Ledbetter and Thomas Harris) being defeated by (Cole Lawsoni and Fine Jackson). Abilene Christian (Riley Trani and Michael Benavides) also won match No. 2 6-1, defeating (Simon Lewis and Kameron Myers).

In singles play, the Wildcats won all six singles competition. In match No. 1, Josh Sheehy defeated Kameron Myers 6-1, 6-0. In match No. 2, Le'Darrien Ledbetter gave Dimitris Azoides a tough challenge but fell short 6-1, 6-2. Abilene Christian won both matches respectively No. 3 and No. 4, 6-0. In the No. 5 match Junius Ross loss the first match 6-0 and won three sets, but fell short 6-3.

The Golden Lions will return home Wednesday, March 13 against Mckendree University at the Bloom Center at 3:00 P.M.
