Men’s Basketball Falls To Oregon St.

CORVALLIS, OR. - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball team could not overcome Oregon St. fast start and dropping a non-conference match 80-46 Saturday night at the Gill Coliseum.

The Golden Lions struck first with a layup by junior Dequan Morris in the first min of the game, before the Beavers went on a 21-0 run to take a 45-18 lead at the half. 

UAPB came out the second half trying to cut the deficit, shooting 43% from the field compared to 29% in the first half, but it was not enough in the comeback.

Senior Marquell Carter scored a team-high 13 points, followed by Morris with 11 points, and junior Terrance Banyard with seven points.
 
The difference in tonight's game, the Beavers outscored the Golden Lions 32-18.

UAPB will be back in action Wednesday, when the team travels to Las Cruces, NM. to face New Mexico St. at 8 p.m.
