The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff volleyball team ended Senior Day on a high note defeating Texas Southern 20-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-23 Monday night at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.

The Lady Lions split the series 1-1 with the Lady Tigers for the regular season.
"I knew we could come into the match tonight and compete on a high level," said first-year UAPB head coach
Chelsey Lucas. Tonight it felt good to win for
Micayla Pope and for our fans. She played a significant role in helping get this program on a high level. She's very smart, the girls love and respect her, so I'm glad we got the win for her."

Zyaire Garrit and
Zyonn Smith had a team-high13 kills apiece, followed by sophomore
Haley Gomez with 10 kills. The senior Pope added 25 assists, one ace, and five digs. On the defensive side sophomore,
Kaila Robinson contribute 24 digs, and freshman
Samoana Poyer had a game-high four blocks.
