MEMPHIS, Tenn. (March 19) -The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Track and Field team recorded 10 top 10 finishes this past weekend in the Rhodes Invitational.
 
UAPB finished first in the 4x800 meter relay with the team of Malique Smith, Harlan Clarke, Wade Gardner and Tryan Lyons with a time of 7:43.12 in the event.
 
The Golden Lions took second and fifth in the 4x400 meter relay with the team of Juwan Parker, Wade Gardner,  Lyons and Rasheed McAlpin took second with a time of 3:15.23 and the team of Harlan Clarke, Rodney Griffin, Malique Smith and LaMarques Woodard finish fifth with a time of 3:27.97.
 
Smith and Shevon Phipps finished second in their events with Phipps recording a leap of 1.97 meters in the high jump and Smith recording a time of 1:55.35 in the 800 meter run.
 
In the 400 meter dash the Golden Lions had three runners to finish in the top 10 with Parker finishing fourth with a time of 49.30.  McAlpin took seventh with a time of 50.42 and Demetrius Thompson recorded a time of 50.61 for an eighth place finish.
 
Rounding out the cast of top 10 finishers is Travis Bibbs and Kahmron Hymes.  Bibbs took fifth in the long jump with a distance of 6.56m, while Hymes finished seventh in the high jump with a leap of 1.87 meters.
