Box Score JACKSON, Miss. (Jan. 30) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Women's Basketball team had three Lady Lions to score in double-figures in a 78-71 win over Jackson State, here Monday night at the Lee E. Williams Assembly Center.

UAPB (7-13, 4-5 SWAC) was led by
Faith Ohanta with 17 points and 11 rebounds from off the bench.Â
Ajia Richardson finished with 16 and
Niya Head added 12.Â

JSU (7-12, 1-8 SWAC) also had three players to score in double-figures with Kierra Adams scoring a team high 16 points and nine rebounds, followed by Derica Wiggins with 13 and Maria Conyers-Jordan with 11.

Jackson State went into the break with a 38-34 lead over UAPB.

UAPB opened the third quarter with a 10-2 run to take a 44-40 lead on a pair of
Niya Head free throws at the 6:07 mark of the quarter.Â

In the fourth quarter, JSU would take a 57-55 lead on Daisha Williams three pointer with 9:06 remaining in regulation.Â

UAPB retook the lead on a pair of Richardson free throws at the 6:11 mark to give the Lady Lions a 59-58 lead.

JSU tied the contest at 60-60 on a Smelser layup with 5:40 left to play.

UAPB broke the tie 10 seconds later on an Ohanta layup with 5:30 to play to give the Lady Lions a 62-60 lead. The Lady Lions then pushed their lead to 65-61 on a Head jumper with 4:25 left to play.

JSU would pull within two on two occasions at the 4:10 mark on a pair of Maria Conyers-Jordan free throws and again at the 1:09 mark on a Kawaii Perry jumper.Â

In the final minute of play, UAPB outscored JSU, 8-3 for the 78-71 finale.
