2016-2017 Season:  Ohanta transferred in from a junior college and became an important component of the team as the season went on. She saw action in all 30 games, earning a starting spot in 14 of those games. Ohanta finished the season averaging 8.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 19.5 minutes per game.  She led the team this season in rebounds with 178, which also ranked her fifth in the conference in rebounding and ranked 14^th in the conference with a .433 FG percentage.  She started in the last 10 games of the season after coming off a 17-point game against Jackson State (1-30-17). Ohanta also managed to score in double figures in six of those last ten games. She dropped a season high of 18 points on 7-8 FG in a contest against Texas Southern (2-25-17) including a double-double effort with 13 rebounds. Ohanta snagged a season high of 16 rebounds against Mississippi Valley State (3-24-17) also in a double-double effort with 13 points, and 13 rebounds against Grambling (2-25-17). She dished out two assists at Alabama State (1-7-17) and Ball State (11-11-16) and recorded two steals at Prairie View A&M (2-20-17) and Philander Smith (12-10-16). Ohanta rejected two shots at Alabama State (2-04-17) and Illinois (11-13-16). She tallied six double-doubles for the season, which was a team high.
