PINE BLUFF, Ark. (May 24) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Women's Soccer team signed 12 student-athletes to Letters of Intent for the upcoming 2016 season.

"This is my second recruiting class at UAPB. We went out and added depth and skilled position players for this upcoming season," said Head Soccer Coach
Jamie Hutchison.

Here are the 2016 UAPB Women's Soccer Signees:

Sariah Orocu, a 5-7 goalkeeper from Longmont, Colo., played club soccer for both North FC and St. Vrain FC. At Skyline High School, Orocu earned first team all-state honors in her senior season of competition.
Â
"We are excited to have Sariah (Orocu) joining us this fall. Sariah is going to develop into a competitive goalkeeper at the division one level," Hutchison said.

Crystal Ruiz, a 5-8 midfielder from Moreno Valley High School in Moreno Valley, Calif.  She played club soccer last season at IE Surf.

"Crystal (Ruiz) is joining us from a very high level competitive soccer club in California. We look forward to working with Crystal this upcoming season.

Tyler Babb, a 5-5, center midfielder attended Charles W. Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pine, Fla. This four-year varsity team letter winner served as captain in her senior season of competition.

"Tyler (Babb) is a hardworking player, who will compete within our roster for this coming season. We are very happy to have her join the Golden Lion family," said Hutchison.

Haleigh Russell, a 5-0 full back from Lawton MacArthur High School in Lawton, Okla.  This past season, she played club soccer with Southlakes F.C.

"Haleigh (Russell) is a very dedicated soccer player, who comes to us from Oklahoma. She played in a very competitive club league with Southlakes F.C. In addition, she was a member of varsity high school team in her senior season of competition," Hutchison said.

Daniela Montone, a 5-9 center back/center midfielder from St. Paul S.S. in Mississauga, Ontario Canada. Montone last season played club soccer for the Toronto Lynx FC.

"Daniela (Montone) is an exciting prospect for our 2016 recruiting class. She will give us good athleticism and ball control abilities will be big plus for this upcoming season," Hutchison added.

Jessica Cota, a 5-6 center back/ full back from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., played soccer at both Alta Loma High School and IE Surf Club.Â

"Jessica (Cota) is a very dynamic player, who will link up well with our players on the field and brings great athleticism to our team for next season," Hutchison said.

Shannon Seymour, a 5-4 wide midfielder form Culpepper High School in Culpepper, Va.Â
Â
"Shannon (Seymour) is joining us from Washington Spirits club team. She has been well coached for the most of her playing career. We look forward to having Shannon with us this fall," Hutchison said.

Allison Herrin, a 5-8 center back from Highland Citrus Valley, Calif., finished last season rank No. 7 in the NSCAA at San Bernardino Valley College, earning her First Team All-Foothill Conference honors.

"Allison (Herrin) will bring much needed experience to our defense this season," Hutchison said.

Ana Silverio, a 5-5 center forward/wide midfielder from Leander, Texas. She is a two-year letter winner in soccer at Rouse High School and played club soccer at Lonestar FC. Â

"Ana (Silverio) is going to be an exciting player for us in the future. We look forward to helping her develop into a strong collegiate soccer player," Hutchison added.

Kelsey Martin, a 5-4 midfielder from Frederick, Colo. She is a four-year varsity letter winner for Mead High School and is three-time Academic First Team All-State selection.

"Kelsey (Martin) brings good leadership on and off the field. She has been playing soccer for a very long time and will develop into a good collegiate player," Hutchison said.

Elena Rust, a 5-6 center back from Los Angeles, Calif., earned First Team All-Western Conference honors and was named the team's Best Defensive Player of the Year last season for Santa Monica College.

"Elena (Rust) will bring a high level of play and experience to our defense for this upcoming fall. We are excited to have her join the Golden Lions," Hutchison said.

Sarah Wright, a 5-5 full back form Stratford High School in Stratford, Conn. Last season, she played club soccer for Connecticut FC ECNL.Â

"Sarah (Wright) is a very dynamic player with ECNL experience. She will compete in our group of players as we look forward to working with her," Hutchison said.
