Golden Lions Have Success at John Jacobs Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. – Justin Cooper ran a time of 53.32 seconds en route to third place in the men's 400m hurdles during Oklahoma's John Jacobs Invitational.

Teammate Malique Smith achieved a third-place result as well, running a 1:54.15 in the men's 800-meter run. Smith and Cooper helped power the Lions' 4x400-meter relay team to a second-place result (3:12.80).

For the Lady Lions, Takia Taylor was eighth in the 400-meter dash  (56.15), and  their 4x400m relay team finished sixth (3:53.53). Crystal Christopher finished third in the long jump (5.86m), and Sydnee Worlds (11.87m) earned fourth in the triple jump. Sireta Roach was third in the women's shot put (15.39m).
