MEMPHIS, Tenn. (March 22) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Track team participated in the Rhodes College Invitational this past weekend with the Golden Lions picking up 12 top-10 finishes.

In the event, the Golden tallied four first place finishes with UAPB winning both 4x100 meter and the 4x400 meter relay.

The team of
Juwan Parker,
Jerrel Wilson,
Demetrius Thompson and
Justin Cooper won the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 41.98, while the team of
Malique Smith,
Jerrel Wilson, Cooper and
Andrew Bingham won the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:13.81.

Both Cooper and
Vladimir Gomez finished first in their event with Cooper winning the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.77 and Gomez winning the Javelin throw with a hurl of 172 feet and one inch.

Wilson and
Miles Dortch took second in their events with Wilson running a time of 21.84 in the 200 meter dash, while Dortch placed with a throw of 166 feet and six inches in the Javelin. Dortch also took fourth place in the discus throw with toss of 135 feet and seven inches.

The team of Bingham,
Travion Munn,
Rasheed McAlpin and
Harlan Clarke finished third in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 7:57.20.

In the 400 meter dash, Smith finished fourth with a time of 50.37, while Parker garnered a fifth place finish with a time of 50.46.

Rounding out the cast of top ten finishers for UAPB was Dortch taking sixth in the hammer throw (152 feet and three inches), and Brown in the shot put (42 feet and seven inches).
