NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 6) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Tennis team dropped a single match on Friday to Cumberland and a doubleheader to Tennessee State on Saturday at the Handley Park Tennis Courts.
In their Friday matchup Cumberland defeated UAPB, 7-0.
In No. 1 singles play Sajid Rahman lost to Anatoliy Laskul in three sets, with Lashkull winning the first set, 6-0. Rahman would win the second set, 6-4 to force the tiebreaker. Lashkul pulled out a 6-2 win in the third set to win the No. 1 singles point.
Simon Lewis fell to Thiago Lopes in two sets with Lopes winning the first set 6-2 and the second set 6-3 in No. 2 singles play.
Khusto Leowaba in No. 5 singles play lost to Azel Lucich in two sets edging Leowaba 7-6 in the first set and winning the second set 6-0.
On Saturday, TSU sweep UAPB winning both matches, 7-0.
