In the first quarter, GSU jumped out to a 10-5 lead, capped off by a Kiana Jones three pointer with 3:53 remaining.

UAPB tied the contest at 12-12 with a 7-2 run, capped off by a
Diamond Richardson layup with 27 seconds left.

Shakyla Hill would nail a three pointer with five second left to give the Lady Tigers a 15-12 lead heading into the second quarter of play.

 UAPB outscored GSU 18-15 in the second quarter as the quarter saw three ties.Â

GSU pushed their lead to 17-12 on a Bre'nae Andrews jumper with 9:54 left to go.

The Lady Lions tied the contest at 19-19 on an
Ajia Richardson layup with 5:44 remaining.

Both teams would score 11 points each in the final five minutes as both teams went into the break tied at 30-30.

UAPB finished the first half shooting 28.2 percent (11-of-39), while GSU shot 42.9 percent (12-of-28).

In the third quarter, the Lady Tigers outscored the Lady Lions, 26-8 to take a 56-38 lead into the fourth quarter of play.

Both teams would score 11 points each in the fourth quarter as GSU held on to win the 67-49.

UAPB finished the contest shooting 33.9 percent (19-of-56), while GSU shot 36.8 percent (28-of-76).

GSU (14-12, 11-4 SWAC) had two Lady Tigers to score in double-figures with Hill scoring a game high 22 points to lead all-scorers, while Andrews added 15. Monisha Neal led the Lady Tigers on the boards with 10.

 UAPB (7-20, 4-12 SWAC) was paced by both
Ajia Richardson and
Niya Head, who both finished with 10 points each, while
Attirah Munir led the Lady Lions on the boards with eight.
