New Orleans, La.- It was a cold and chilly night to open the 2013 SWAC Tennis Championships at City Park Pepsi Center in the crescent city.

The Golden Lions, a five seed, drew the third seeded Jackson State Tigers in the opening round. JSU wrapped up the opening round match-up to a score of 4-0.
